XM does not charge withdrawal fees on most payment methods - the cost comes from the payment processor or your bank, not from XM itself. This guide covers every withdrawal method available to GCC traders, processing times, minimum amounts, and the practical steps to get your money out without delays.

XM Withdrawal: The Quick Answer

For most GCC traders, XM processes withdrawal requests within 24 hours on business days. The money then takes additional time depending on your method: e-wallets are typically same-day, bank wire transfers take 3-5 business days, and card refunds follow the original card's timeline. XM itself does not charge a fee, but your bank or e-wallet provider may deduct one.

XM Withdrawal Methods Available in the GCC

Bank Wire Transfer

Bank wire is the most common withdrawal method for GCC traders dealing with larger amounts. XM processes the request within 24 hours, but bank-to-bank transfers then take 3-5 business days depending on your bank. Fees charged by intermediary or receiving banks on international wires are not covered by XM and come out of the transferred amount.

Bank wires are free of XM fees from $200; smaller wires can carry a fee, so use a card or e-wallet for small amounts.

Credit and Debit Card (Visa / Mastercard)

Card withdrawals return funds to the same card used for the deposit - this is a regulatory requirement to prevent money laundering, not an XM policy. Processing time after XM approves the request: 5-10 business days, which reflects Visa/Mastercard settlement timelines, not XM delays.

Cards cannot be used for withdrawal if the card has expired since you deposited. In that case, you will need to use bank wire or contact XM support to arrange an alternative.

Skrill and Neteller

E-wallet withdrawals are the fastest option. Once XM approves the request (within 24 hours), funds appear in your Skrill or Neteller account within hours. Skrill and Neteller do charge their own fees for currency conversion or withdrawing to a bank from the e-wallet - check your e-wallet's fee schedule.

Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Tether USDT)

XM accepts crypto deposits and withdrawals on some account types. Crypto withdrawals follow the same 24-hour internal processing window. Blockchain confirmation times vary - Bitcoin typically 30-60 minutes, USDT on TRC-20 faster. There are no XM fees, but network transaction fees apply.

XM Withdrawal: Step-by-Step Process

Log in to your XM Members Area at myaccount.xm.com. Navigate to "Withdrawal" under the Finances menu. Select your trading account, withdrawal method, and amount. Submit the request. XM will review and approve within one business day. You will receive a confirmation email when the transfer is sent.

All withdrawal documents (ID verification, proof of address) must be completed before your first withdrawal is processed. If your account is not fully verified, XM will pause the withdrawal and email you a request for documents.

Why XM Withdrawals Are Sometimes Delayed

The most common reasons for delays beyond XM's stated 24-hour processing time:

  • Account not fully verified - KYC documents (passport, utility bill) not uploaded or approved
  • Withdrawal exceeds deposit method - XM requires withdrawals to match deposit methods up to the deposited amount. If you deposited $500 by card and want to withdraw $800, you must withdraw $500 to the card and the remaining $300 by wire
  • Bank holiday - XM processes on business days. Requests submitted on Friday in Cyprus (XM's main entity) may not be reviewed until Monday
  • Compliance review - Unusually large withdrawals, first-time international wires, or accounts with trading pattern flags may be held for review

XM Withdrawal Limits

XM does not publish a maximum withdrawal limit. In practice, very large withdrawals (above $50,000) may trigger additional verification steps. XM does not publish fixed minimums for cards and e-wallets; bank wires are free of XM fees from $200.

XM forex inactivity fees guide Impact on Withdrawals

XM charges a $5/month inactivity fee after 90 days with no trading, deposits or withdrawals. If your account has been inactive and the fee has reduced your balance below the withdrawal minimum, you will need to either reactivate the account by placing a trade, or contact XM support. See our full guide on forex broker inactivity fees for more detail, and the XM review for the complete fees breakdown.

Does XM charge withdrawal fees?

XM does not charge fees on card or e-wallet withdrawals, and bank wires of $200 or more are free (smaller wires can carry a fee). Intermediary and receiving banks may deduct their own charges, and e-wallet providers charge their own conversion or withdrawal fees.

How long does XM withdrawal take?

XM processes withdrawal requests within 24 hours on business days. After that: e-wallets (Skrill, Neteller) same day; cards 5-10 business days; bank wire 3-5 business days.

What is the minimum withdrawal from XM?

XM does not publish a fixed minimum for cards and e-wallets; the minimum for your account is shown in the withdrawal form in the Members Area. Bank wires are free of XM fees from $200 (about AED 735).

Can I withdraw from XM to a UAE bank account?

Yes. XM supports bank wire transfers to UAE banks (Emirates NBD, FAB, Mashreq, ADCB, etc.). The transfer typically arrives within 3-5 business days. Your UAE bank may charge a small international wire receipt fee on their end.

What happens if my withdrawal card has expired?

XM cannot process a card withdrawal to an expired card. Contact XM support to request an alternative withdrawal method - typically bank wire - for funds originally deposited by card.
